Kenscoff Mountain Walk - Part 4

One of President Martelly's efforts as president is to help children go to school. The PSUGO program is an education program where the government pays the school directors a sum of money per student for grades 1 and 2. In the future it is the government's goal that education is possible for all children in all grades.

Kenscoff Mountain Walk - Part 3

Along the bottom of the mountain a river runs when it rains.

This is where the mountainside collapsed taking awya the road with it.

What befoe was a road was trucks could pass on is reduced to a footpath.

Eorsion will continue to effect the mountainside.

There is no mercy with a landslide.

The soft sandy soil will continue to fall during rains.

A good road opens up a community to transport their goods to Kenscoff. Now the people have to return once again to carrying everything out on their heads.

There is nothing better than hiking on the mountain crests. It is neat walking on a mountain top and seeing the mountain sides at each side of you :)
