This week community health workers from Grace Children's Hospital visited the school children. the first day was to talk with the children about cholera. The 2nd day they cam with a mobile lab to do blood tests for HIV and RPR (Syphilis) .
Martine is a nurse that works with Ed. She watched while the health workers tested the students.
The team worked quickly to test the students.
We are thankful that the team came and did these test. One of our students tested positive for Syphilis. Untreated, it can lead to death. Ed treated her with antibiotics.
