Medical Clinics - August 7th and 8th - Part 2

It was nice that younger members of the team could come to Haiti to experience mission work. It sure shows a young person how the poor live.

T-Ben (the young man standing) is a quiet guy and a strong christian. He strives to improve his life.

This young boy was doing babysitting duty for his family :)

The living room was used as a treatment area by the team.

The team was well organized in each of the separate areas of the clinics.

This young boy was looking at the photos in one of the evangelical tracts that were handed out during the clinics.

Gael Verneret, the boy in the front of the picture is a student in our school program here at Coram Deo. He came to get his teeth cleaned.

Patchico and Solyvien both live here at Coram Deo.

People patiently waited for their turn. It was a calm couple of clinic days :)

Bony helped handed out some tracts as well as assisting in translating.

This elderly lady didn't mind at all having a lighted candle held to her ear :)

Children and adults came to the clinic for help.

The teeth cleaning station was a popular and busy station. The dental hygienists improvised for a dental chair :)

They had a busy couple of days cleaning teeth :)

This woman is receiving care at the general medical area of the clinic.

Sony helped out to call the numbers. We had 3 types of cards: orange for chiropractor care, yellow for dental and Georgetown basketball cards for general medical (a few years ago we received several cases of these cards and we hand them out at the clinics :)

After people had their teeth cleaned they were given a gift of toothpaste and a toothbrush.

Nailobie used to live here at Coram Deo while her mother was getting treatment for her hydrocephalus baby.

Here is the chiropractor busy at work.

Bernaldo, in the blue shirt is fluent in English. He will be entering Grade 10 at Christian Light School. He used to live here at Coram Deo when he was a young boy.

It was a manageable flow of people attending the clinic throughout the day. It made things easier at the registration table.

This is the water station that was set up for those who were waiting.

Yonel was challenged at times keeping the tarp from blowing away. One of the days was gusty and the tarp slipped free a few times.

Yesterday's photo was a picture of a smiling Jn. Eddy. This is his younger brother Herode.

Johnny is a quiet, serious young man. His dream is to one day be a police officer or in the Haitian military if it is formed again.

Herol finished his first year of nursing school. He speaks excellent english and helped out by translating everyday at the various mission sites that the team traveled to.

Macdonald is a physically handicapped young adult who lives here at Coram Deo. He speaks english well too and helped to work at the registration table here at Coram Deo and also at other mission sites too.

Benson will be attending Grade 3 at Sheri's school. He speaks english pretty good now.

He kept himself busy playing marbles with some of his friends :)

They take their marbles very seriously!
