On the next mountain top is a small pine forest.
A crop growing near the edge of a mountainside - carrots and beets.
Another view of the landslide area.
The 'near' school. This building is also the 'near' church.
One of President Martelly's efforts as president is to help children go to school. The PSUGO program is an education program where the government pays the school directors a sum of money per student for grades 1 and 2. In the future it is the government's goal that education is possible for all children in all grades.
A spotted cow.
A goat tethered in a field.
This poor cow is tied on a rope on this slope. You can see the steepness of the slope by looking at the large tree to the left.

A wall separates something at the top of this mountain.

Climbing down from Pastor Pierre's church/school down to the main road.
You have to watch your footing here.

Another great view of the mountains.

Imagine what this area would look like completely forested. That is how Haiti used to be.
Meeting some children on the mountain road/trail.
Playing soccer.
Jake showing children some photos.
The sun is starting to set. Erol is cold :)
